Vestas has signed contracts for 225MW of wind turbine projects in the US, Germany, and New Zealand, as part of its Q4 2024 order intake. The African Development Bank (AfDB) has committed USD 10 million from its Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa (SEFA) to the Persistent Africa Climate Venture Builder Fund (ACV Fund). EVN signs contract for Côn Đảo power connection

Vietnam Electricity (EVN) has signed a VND4.923 trillion contract with PC1 Group and Power Engineering Consulting JSC 4 to connect Côn Đảo to the national grid. The project involves a 77.7 km 110kV submarine cable from Sóc Trăng to Côn Đảo, along with underground and overhead transmission lines. Construction begins in December 2024, and power supply is expected by Q4 2025.  This project aims to boost infrastructure and support the island’s economic and sustainable development.

Neoen secures AUD 1.4 billion for Australian renewable energy projects

AMEA Power commissions 500 MW Abydos Solar PV plant in Egypt

AMEA Power has commissioned the 500 MW Abydos Solar PV Plant in Egypt’s Aswan Governorate.  The plant will generate around 1,500 GWh of renewable energy annually, reducing carbon emissions by 782,300 tonnes. GE Vernova wins contract for HV equipment supply from Sterlite Power

GE Vernova T&D India Limited secured a contract worth over Rs 4,000 million from Sterlite Power Transmission Limited on December 19, 2024.  The contract covers the supply and supervision of high voltage (HV) equipment.  The project is expected to be completed by December 19, 2026, and is being implemented through the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process.
