CERC grants final transmission licence to PGCIL’s Bhadla-III Transmission

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has granted a final transmission licence to “Bhadla-III Transmission Ltd,” a wholly-owned TBCB subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL).  The licence, issued on December 15, 2024, is valid for 25 years unless revoked earlier. Federal Bank and Ecofy collaborate to finance MSME solar projects

Federal Bank has partnered with Ecofy, a green-focused NBFC backed by Eversource Capital, to offer financing solutions for MSMEs investing in rooftop solar installations. Powergrid to raise up to Rs 42.50 billion via 10-year bonds

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has approved raising up to Rs 42.50 billion through the private placement of bonds. The funds will be raised under the Powergrid bonds – LXXX (80th Issue), which are unsecured, non-convertible, non-cumulative, redeemable, and taxable.  The issue includes a base size of Rs 10 billion and a green shoe option of Rs 32.50 billion. India’s renewable energy capacity addition doubles to 15 GW in FY24

Sembcorp wins solar plus BESS project from SECI

Sembcorp Green Infra (SGIPL), a unit of Sembcorp Industries, has secured a 150 MW solar project with a 300 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) from Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
