The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has increased the solar module capacity on the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) by 2,084 MW, bringing the total to 56.5 GW.  New entrants include Junna Solar System (94 MW), Sun N Sand Exim (69 MW), and Powertrac Solar Projects (47 MW). NTPC Green signs MoU with Rajasthan for 25 GW RE project

NTPC Green Energy (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Rajasthan government for a 25 GW renewable energy project.  The MoU was signed on 30 September 2024 during the Rising Rajasthan Investor Meet in Delhi, in the presence of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. Greenzo gets hydrogen project from TANGEDCO

Greenzo Energy has won a hydrogen project awarded by Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) for the 2×660 MW Ennore SEZ Supercritical Thermal Power Plant.  The project involves establishing a hydrogen generation plant with a capacity of 20 normal cubic meters per hour, contributing to India’s Green Hydrogen Mission. West Bengal Cabinet approves 660-MW supercritical plant

On 30 September 2024, the West Bengal Cabinet approved establishing a 660-MW supercritical power plant at Sagardighi in Murshidabad district.
